Micromax Mobile - Loaded With Features yet Light on the Pocket


Micromax mobiles have earned a reputation of good returns on low investment. The brand has come out with numerous models which have managed to strike a chord with Indians, especially those looking for smart phone features in a budget of less than INR15000. Micromax mobiles in India are very quickly catching up on the smart phone market with Micromax mobile stores coming up in all states. The affordability of these phones, along with the loaded features, good battery life and lightweight have made them rocket in demand.

Among the range of phones launched by the brand is A90, which is a Micromax superfone and claims to transcend features of a conventional smart phone. The model was released in India only last month. This model comes with a 4.3” Super Amoled touch screen and runs on Android 4.0 operating system. The 1 GHz processor and 512MB RAM increase functionality for users who need to store large data in their phones and do not like to compromise on speed. Data storage capacity can be increased by using 32GB microSD card.

Another good thing about A90 is that it comes with both front and back facing cameras, although only the rear camera has LED flash. The front camera is 0.3MP and back camera is 8MP. The device comes enabled with 2G and 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB 2.0. One of the best features of the phone, which is the voice assistant system AISHA, comes pre-installed with the system.

Another Superfone released by the brand is Canvas A100. This phone was released along with A90. It is a dual GSM SIM smart phone with hordes of features loaded into it. The screen of this model is bigger than A90. A100 measures 5” and has a screen resolution of 480 x 854. This phone also runs on Android of version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and comes with 1 GHz dual core processor. The 5 mega pixel rear camera is equipped with LED flash. For high users, the phone is incorporated with 4GB inbuilt storage, 32GB extendable memory by the use of microSD card. Another highlight of the model is 1000mAh battery which lasts long.

A84 is also a Superfone offered by Micromax. It functions on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. This operating system is not the latest version of Android but has registered a positive review from users. The device might be upgraded to the newer version, although it is just a speculation at this stage. The screen size is smaller for this device. It features 3.97” high resolution display.

The camera in the phone is a 5MP rear with LED flash. For people who want to exploit on the availability of 3G and indulge in video chat, this phone features a 0.3MP front camera. Also included ate Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, 3G, AISHA voice recognition, USB2.0, GPS combined with A-GPS, 32 GB expandable memory and 1,630 mAh battery.

Micromax A50 Ninja is the budget smart phone which runs on Android. In the coming months, or in the first quarter of 2013, micromax has planned more goodies. It plans to bring out an update for A100 and A90 with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
